We imagine a world in which women and girls are valued and their voices heard.
The success of women and girls ripples through the community to make a more just place for all.
Local women helping local women. We advocate, we advance. Our collective voice initiates change.
Raised in New Bedford, Lana has been deeply connected to the city’s vibrant cultures from a young age and now returns as a Peer Mentor for the next cohort of the Young Women’s Advisory Council. She has long been part of the Women’s Fund — first volunteering at events like AHA! Night downtown, later serving on the first YWAC cohort, and later still serving on the committee of the 15th Annual Mother’s Day 5K.
Lana brings her drive and passion everywhere she goes, serving as the Co-Chair of the New Bedford Mayor’s Youth Council (MYC) and staying engaged with her community by facilitating events such as the MYC coat drive, food drives, and vendor markets. Staying involved with more than just her community in the city, Lana also serves as a class officer for the Class of 2026 at New Bedford High School.
