Audrey Straw has a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Massachusetts Boston and an M.A. in International Development Studies from George Washington University. She has worked with a variety of nonprofits, including the Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts, Planet Indonesia, and the DACOR Bacon House, serving in roles centered around advocacy, research and evaluation, and program management. While at George Washington University, Audrey centered her studies around inclusive development, working on projects related to indigenous maternal health, community finance, and health system strengthening for older adults in Lesotho. While at the University of Massachusetts Boston, she served as the Program Assistant for GROW Peer Facilitators, which offered Leadership and Social Justice workshops to the campus community. Her passion for gender justice extends all the way back to her experiences serving on the Young Women’s Advisory Council in Springfield, Massachusetts. Audrey is particularly passionate about data justice and ensuring that programming is inclusive.
